Do Associated Home Design Tubs meet any certifications?

Yes, Associated Home Designs Tubs are certified to all major national requirements.  For more information about the certifications we meet, please see the certifications link found on the left menu of each model category.  Most of our tubs meet Ul, IAPMO, CSA, UPC and other recognized testing authorities' standards.

What maintenance is required?

Cleaning and maintenance is the same as your regular bathtub. PLEASE DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS.

Where can the bathtub be installed?

Your new walk in tub is typically installed as a replacement for your regular bathtub. It might also be installed in a spare room, laundry room, bedroom, etc... Any place that water can be supplied to and proper drainage allowed for..

How Does the Water Tight Door Work?

All of our watertight door seal systems form a hydrostatic seal when compressed by latching the door. Additionally, the weight of water inside the tub further compresses the door seal making it completely leak proof. Associated Home Designs' tubs guarantee the door seal for life against water leaks.

Can Users Also Take Showers?

YES! All  tubs come with a handheld shower and clip for wall installation.  Use it standing up or sitting on the seat while bathing.

How Are Associated Home Designs' tubs Installed?

We offer complete professional installation on all our products - this gives you the consumer the assurance that your investment will have not only an experienced installer, but is also backed by the best warranty in the industry. We provide the following services during installation: existing tub removal, removal of existing faucets, all new hardware, setting and leveling new tub, testing of new tub, tie-in new drain to existing plumbing, electrical tie-in for jetted tubs, GFI Electrical plug, all new plumbing lines for water supply, hand-held deck mounted shower, wall trim, door removal.  In addition, you might want us to replace your toilet and vanity while we are renewing your bathroom.  Painting and trim services are available as well as flooring and tile if requested.

How Much Do walk in tubs Cost?

How is the plumbing hookup done for walk in tub?

Your walk in tub plumbing is best left to professionals but typically the existing plumbing is adapted with modern fittings to facilitate the tub plumbing installation.

From what material is the walk in tub made of?

This actually depends on the series of tub model you purchase.  Our MT Series is a triple gelcoat surface with fiberglass construction. Other models we have might be made of acrylic surfaces with fiberglass backing.  Please view the product specifications for your particular model or series.

How is the walk-in tub installed into my existing bathroom?

The installation of any model is very easy. Any licensed plumber can do the job. You don't need a total remodel to revolutionize your bathroom since most of our models fit into a traditional 60 inch tub space. If needed, your walk in tubs will include an extension kit to perfectly complete a retro fit installation. Our tubs come in both right hand and left hand versions to accommodate any bathroom layout.

Once I have ordered my walk-in tub, how long will it be before I receive it?

Associated Home Design averages an approximate 10 day turn around from time of order to the time of delivery and/or installation. If you need your walk-in tub sooner, your shipping can be expedited for an additional charge. Check lead times at the time of order as they may change seasonally.

What kind of tests are done on the Walk-in Tubs before their shipped?

All of our tubs are inspected 100% in our factory prior to shipping; no detail or function is overlooked. The pump and jets are tested for 24 hours in your tub for leaks, malfunctions and overall performance. Once we are assured that your tub is fully functioning, and can be covered under our comprehensive 10 year warranty, your tub is drained, dried and carefully crated for shipment.
